The fire happened at a home on Betsy Scull Road in the Scullville section of Egg Harbor Township at around 9 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 12, according to the Scullville Volunteer Fire Company. According to a GoFundMe page, a couple originally from Poland lived in the house.

Radoslaw and Aleksandra Sroka also lived in the home with their two teen children. The family also had a business breeding French bulldogs there.

The fundraiser said many of their dogs and puppies died in the fire.

"Due to having no insurance on their home, their family is truly in catastrophic state and are requesting any help you could possibly give so they may start to rebuild their lives and buy basic necessities that were lost," the GoFundMe page said.

More than a dozen fire departments helped at the scene. Laureldale Fire Rescue said it trucked in water to help fight the fire in the rural area.

Photos posted on Facebook by the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company showed flames on both stories of the home and the walls collapsed when they were burned.
